 Abstract

The radicalization of young people is one of the signs of our time. It is also one of the threats to modern society and the state. However, it cannot be considered as a new and unusual phenomenon. Extreme views have always been characteristic of young people, in all epochs and times. Among the factors of radicalization are not only certain social phenomena of our time, but also relics of human nature that refer to the animal world and allow us to see in each person not only a social being, but also a representative of the animal world. Therefore, some patterns that are characteristic of the animal world are reflected in the social behaviour of people, including young people. In particular, one of these patterns is the desire of the new generation to replace the old one in dominating the relevant community. People do not always realize this, but it always has a serious impact on their behaviour. The ideas put forward by young people in the course of protests are sometimes intended only to hide the essence of the protest, which consists in the desire to change the subjects of domination. Therefore, often these ideas have nothing to do with the reality of the current social situation. In this re-gard, these patterns as a factor in the formation of youth radicalism, should be taken into account and determine the system of methods and means of crime pre-vention with this in mind. The state should adopt a concept of youth policy and ideology that would ensure the continuity of generations and guarantee against criminalization of young people. These problems were the subject of the proposed article.
